Once more, LCC proved its non-stop cultural involvement as the whole community actively participated the 114th death anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the country’s national hero last December 30, 2010. The celebration started at 07:30 in the morning. Different sectors in Culion including the Local Government Unit, Loyola College of Culion, Culion National High School, Culion Elementary School, Balala Elementary School, Culion General Hospital, Senior Citizen Federation among others, assembled at the Municipal Ground.

The first-ever Children’s Fest was held last December 28, 2010 at the LCC quadrangle. It was sponsored by the different sectors including the Local Government Officials, The Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Chairman ( Mr. Jubelle Cabatingan-a 2nd year Entrepreurship student), the Culion Parish Pastoral Council, TAM General Merchandise and the Youth for Christ 2010. The event was started by a children’s mass celebration by Fr. Xavier Alpasa SJ. It was supervised by the energetic YFC members. After the mass, all proceeded to the LCC quadrangle.

To date, the Isla Culion Consumer Cooperative managed to earn P19, 305.00 on its Bingo Social for a Cause held last October 10, 2010. It was agreed upon by the Social Action Committee and approved by the Board of Directors to conduct an outreach program to indigenous people of Culion. After a survey was made, the groups settled for Berg in Barangay Binud-ac. The coordinator of the place reported a number of 38 families and more than a hundred of children. Thus, the Social Action committee prepared and packed the goods for families and children. And on the 27th of December 2010, the ICCC members went to Berg along with the packed goods.
